It’s time to celebrate: Urban Greens is having a grand opening!

Since the incorporation of food co-op Urban Greens in 2007, a group of tireless and dedicated volunteers have been working to bring a full-service community-owned grocery store to the West Providence area. It’s been our dream to bring healthy, affordable food and welcome all our neighbors.
After 12 years of hard work, setbacks, and challenges, that day is finally here!

Urban Greens is opening its doors at the end of this month. Our members now own a share of this beautiful store, providing high-quality, nutritious food that is sustainably sourced, at reasonable prices to all shoppers, whether members or not.

Details:
The Cooperative Council and the staff of Urban Greens invite all owners to join us for a special pre-opening. Co-op members can shop and celebrate with us for two full days on June 25th and 26th. Urban Greens will be open from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm to serve you, our most ardent supporters! We are going to have a little fun.

On Thursday June 27th we will begin a 3-day Grand Opening Celebration with the whole community, with even more fun planned. Watch for all the details over the next few weeks leading up to the grand opening celebration.

With so much excitement and appreciation, the Urban Greens Cooperative Council is thrilled to finally say we’re opening!

This store has been built by the immeasurable work and support of countless people, from current and previous council members and staff, to volunteers who have helped spread the word, and to every single member-owner, investor, and advocate. Through the challenges of changed timelines and locations, we have all kept at it, and we can’t wait to finally celebrate with you at our Grand Opening… and to shop!
