VOted Best Local Market from RI Monthly's Reader Poll 2021

Between summer travel plans and travel bans, there’s so many dates to remember. Trying to make it easier on you to follow what’s going on at the co-op, if you’re more of a blog post than calendar kind of person, here’s a few upcoming important events.

Leadership Training Info. Tuesday Aug 17, from 5-7pm, we’re hosting PLTI (Parent Leadership Training Institute). They’re looking to meet community members who want to join their free 20-week program. In the program, you’ll gain knowledge of government policy, and learn how to be an advocate for your children, and your community.  You’ll also learn how to design initiatives to promote changes in Providence (and can take it elsewhere, this is a national institute!) It’ll be virtual this year, and they’ll assist with dinner meals and games for your little ones, so you can focus. Come meet Faith David and she’ll answer all your questions.  Or you can email her fdavid@cappri.org

Worried that it’s during dinner time? We’ll fire up the grill and have affordable food options available for purchase. We’re thinking tacos!

Blood Drive. Wednesday and Thursday August 25 & 26, 3-7pm, RI Blood Center will be at the co-op collecting pints for their blood bank. All presenting donors 21 and over will receive a coupon for one free pint of beer at participating brewery locations. All presenting donors will also be entered to win a $100 e-gift card! The important thing to remember though, is that giving blood saves lives. Go to www.ribc.org/drives to book. Use Sponsor Code 5038.

Eat, hydrate, bring identification with you. It is Safe to Donate! www.ribc.org/safety

Vaccination Clinic. Saturday August 28 from 12-3:30 with Providence Community Health Centers. This will be for first dosage. Second shot will be scheduling for Sept. 28th.
